Re: Signing today per young Jack,
I wouldn't believe the lacazette thing but for the agent/lawyer Rodriquez who comments on there. why would he bother if it wasn't happening?

Re: Signing today per young Jack,
I can't recall who brought in Obiang.
Looked decent in patches..but everytime he started the side struggled...no balance.
Not his fault...can't see a future for him.

Re: Signing today per young Jack,
Song wasn't even making the bench for most of the season and obiang has barely played. We have other players who have played CM and done pretty well. Hardly the first area that needed strengthening. But if he's good, fair play but looks like a solid addition rather than one that vastly improves the first team. A good age though. Bit like OBIANG really, who must be leaving this summer surely? Couldn't blame the bloke.

Re: Signing today per young Jack,
Solid signing.
Regular with a side that finished fourth in Bundesliga.
Can play in various positions.
Have a feeling he could be our new right back

Perhaps Vexed was unaware that Song was on loan and likely to return?

I'm assuming he's a replacement for song

Re: Signing today per young Jack,
Unless this geezer is next years Kante this is a weird signing, the only position where we are actually very well covered. Perhaps the deal was done before we fucked up Europe like a bunch of rank amateurs?

Re: Signing today per young Jack,
Thought we were looking at loaning Burke out to a championship club if possible.

It's a difficult one with Oxford, he will start getting itchy feet if he doesn't get much first team time soon as others will be in his ear telling him he'd be getting it elsewhere (whether true or not).

after the first game of the season just gone, he could be forgiven for thinking he would play a lot more than he did - I'm not sure what I'd do if I were Bilic, but it'll be interesting to see how he handles him.

If it's a couple of million then I'll praise the club for a shrewd bit of squad management.

Lee Trundle 5:46 Mon May 16
Re: Signing today per young Jack,
Pointless apart from the fact we'd probably get a couple of million quid compared to absolutely nothing, you mean?

Alex V 5:45 Mon May 16
Re: Signing today per young Jack,
If he goes it won't be for much, if anything. And the contract extension would have been largely pointless.

Re: Signing today per young Jack,
It wouldn't surprise me to see Ginge sold on in the summer, especially with Burke and Oxford hopefully pushing for places.

If we did sell him, it would have been a brilliant bit of business for the club considering some were questioning why we were offering him a contract extension in the first place.
